Our Mission

We make doors that do not open, so you can enjoy the simple pleasures of architectural ambiguity. Our mission is to provide convincing door-like objects without the burden of functionality. Less utility, more mystique.

History

Founded in the dim hallway of a dorm room, Not A Real Door began as a joke and matured into a lifestyle. Early prototypes included the Poster Portal and the Cardboard Concealer. Demand was immediate and entirely unmeasured.

Team

Philosophy

We believe in respectful inutility. A well-crafted not-door offers the emotional satisfaction of a threshold without the obligations of passage. We are committed to the subtle art of near-access.
